Jennie, We just went on a road trip and my friend gave me a fabulous idea. I made up a bag for each of the girls (they were their bags from church). I put one treat for every hour of driving inside--things that I would give them anyway: Laffy Taffy, a fruit snack, a package of teddy grahams etc. I also included fun things from the dollar store like a new pencil, a little notebook, etc. Every hour I would say: look in your bag for a __________. They LOVED it. They knew they could only get one thing out per hour, but since they got to look at the other thing while searching for what I called out they were even more excited. We also listened to a few books on tape from the library: Magic Treehouse, 101 Dalmations and Judy Moody. I hope you have a fun trip! Anne
