Camille and her blanket

Camille has a favorite blanket. My Mom made her a pink fleece blanket when she was 6 months old, and she has slept with it every night....until about a year and a half ago, when we lost her blanket. I had taken her on a walk around the neighborhood, and that was the last we saw of it. She had a habit of tossing it out of the stroller (because it was so funny to watch me stop and pick it up). She must have tossed it out one time and I didn't notice, because later when we were home we couldn't find it anywhere. We drove around the neighborhood looking for it but never found the blanket. I should have just taken advantage of this opportunity to break the blanket habit, but instead I put her in the car and off we went to Joann Fabrics. I put her in front of the wall of fleece to choose her new blanket. She took her time looking over all the choices, and eventually stopped in front of the fleece closest in color to her old one. I pulled it off the shelf for her. She smelled it, picked up a corner and started sucking her thumb. A winner.

She still has this favorite blanket. And on the favorite blanket she has a favorite string. Can you tell in the picture which one it is? I think it will just keep stretching and stretching until it comes off. Then maybe we can get rid of the blanket and she can just snuggle the string.
