I just had to share something cute Madison said a few Sundays ago...
I work in the Primary, and I love being there to see what they are learning and doing. A few weeks ago the topic was prayer. A sweet girl in our ward gave a very tender talk about an experience her family had with prayer. She got emotional in the middle and started crying, and her mom finished the talk for her. It was really touching.
I happened to be sitting next to Madison and she leaned over and asked, "Why is she crying, Mom?" I explained that she was feeling the spirit and sometimes that can make people cry. There were a few seconds of silence, then Madison said, "I think I am feeling Farley's spirit." (Sidenote: Farley is my parents' DOG, who Madison loved, and who was hit by a car and killed last year. Madison still mourns the loss and cries every now and then for him). I thought it was pretty funny how she translated "feeling the spirit" to that, but then it got even funnier when right after that she said, "I better go wash my hands." This she added of course because she is allergic to dogs and I always make her wash her hands after she has had any contact with them. After church I told Ganon the whole story and he almost had to pull the car over he was laughing so hard.

This is hilarious! She is one smart cookie to be able to put together feeling the spirit, knowing the dog has a spirit and remembering that she has to wash her hands when she is around dogs!
I love the way kids are so literal!
Your girls are beautiful!

Hi Jennie,
We linked to your blog through Uncle Richard's email. Your story about Farley's spirit is SO FUNNY! Glad you recorded that. Hope all is well.
Jennie,When Madison was at my house last week she asked if Karin was at college and was she now almost a grown up. I answered yes to both questions, then she said, "Is she taking camping there"? I said no, she wasn't taking any camping classes. Then Madison said, "Well where does she sleep, on the floor?" I'd like to know what she thinks of college. Too cute!
That's pretty funny. It's so good that you write things down. Too cute.
Hi, Jennie! I just found your blog thru Aunt Molly's blog thru Rachael... so fun to catch up on how your girls are growing! They are so beautiful!! I was just trying to read this post to Jamin who is in the other room, but I got laughing/crying so hard I couldn't finish! That is soooo adorable. We look forward to getting to see you all over the holidays!
