Balloon Fiesta!
Since this is our first fall in New Mexico, we have been really excited to see the Balloon Fiesta. It is the largest balloon event in the world, and has been named the most photographed event in the world. Balloonists come from all over to participate.

Several days of the fiesta have Mass Ascension, which is all of the balloons registered (around 400) ascending together. It's pretty amazing.

We got really lucky because the wind this weekend has been blowing our direction. So all the balloons headed our way, many landing right in our neighborhood. We got a pretty close look at some (all photos are taken right from our front or back yard).
