That's how old I am today.

But that's not what I'm writing about.

Last week I went to Disneyland for a few days with my girls and my brother Tyler. My brother Jared was also there with his wife and kids. My sister-in-law Ashlee had some connections and got us reservations to Club 33 for lunch one day that we were there.

Club 33 is a five-star private restaurant in Disneyland's New Orleans Square. You have to be a member or know a member to be able to go. We went up to the green door and buzzed in. We waited in the lobby for a few minutes. A few of the kids were a little worried having been to the Haunted Mansion the day before...I did see some similarities. There was an old-fashioned glass elevator that we rode upstairs.

It was fun to walk around inside. Walt Disney used to entertain special visitors and dignitaries here. It was fun to look at the artwork and furniture. Everything seemed frozen in time, it probably hasn't changed much since Walt himself walked the halls.
We were lucky enough to be seated in our own private dining room. (I'm sure it was a courtesy to the other guests--our party consisted of 4 adults and 6 children). We had the room all to ourselves until right before we finished.
Lunch was yummy. Madison had steak, the other girls had the very sophisticated and upscale "Mickey-shaped Pasta."

It was a really fun part of the trip. We have been to Disneyland many times, but this was a really unique experience and I'm so glad we were able to go!

Happy Birthday... Tyler wants to chef there and thinks it would be a fabulous opportunity. That is amazing. We have both wanted to go in there, but do not know anyone who is a member...
