Amgen Tour of California

On Wednesday the Amgen Tour of California started Stage 4 in our city of Merced. The kids happened to be out of school, so we all went out to watch.

Here's a little info about the Tour:

"The largest cycling event in America, the 2009 Amgen Tour of California is a Tour de France-style cycling road race presented by AEG that challenges the world’s top professional cycling teams to compete along a demanding, recently expanded, 750-mile course from Sacramento to Escondido from February 14-22, 2009."

Here we are waiting...

And here they come! Lance Armstrong is in there somewhere...can you pick him out?

They came and then they were gone. It was over all too fast. But it was really fun to see.

How fun! The tour is coming to the Rose Bowl (which is about 10 minutes from us) today. If I can sneak out, I might just try to go watch!

This is so fun. I flew to S.L. for a girls weekend, and Chase came to Cali to join his two brothers and dad for a boys weekend. They took their bikes (all of them have purchased new ones in the last three months) to Sacramento, Santa Cruz, and Modesto to join in the Amgen festifities and just had an absolute blast. Were able to ride along some of the guys in their down time . So fun.
