Babywise

I feel a little bit like I have been living in a cave the last few weeks, and I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed it! It has been really nice to stay at home, focus on the baby and family, and set aside outside responsibilities for a while.

We are so enjoying our new little one. Our girls adore him and have been so sweet around him.

Andrew of course has been very sleepy the last few weeks, but is starting to open up his eyes a bit more and check out his new surroundings. He is eating and sleeping well and falling into a pretty regular routine.

I remember back to when Madison was born and I first became a mom...it was so wonderful, but quite an adjustment. I didn't really know what I was doing as far as helping her get onto a schedule, etc. Things were a little unpredictable for a while. I am so grateful to a friend in Cleveland who recommended the book "On Becoming Babywise" to me just after I had Laura.

"Babywise" is all about helping your baby get into an eating/sleeping routine that both of you can be happy with. I followed it closely with Laura & Camille, and now Andrew. It has totally worked for me and made life with babies predictable yet flexible. I also have the books "Toddlerwise" and "Childwise" by the same authors which discuss teaching responsibility, discipline, etc. I highly recommend the series!

Hey, was they Shelley that told you about that book. She had told me about the book and I followed her advice. I was so glad to receive it after my third child so I could enjoy my last three infants so much more! What a difference it made. I'm glad you're doing well. Your family is so beautiful.

Oooo I'll have to get that series when I need it someday. It was so fun to meet little Andrew. He is beautiful. Sounds like the boys had a good time in the DR! Hopefully we will make it to Merced soon!
